How We Work

Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. We feel a commitment to our community.

Our team approach adds perspective to all we do and provides increased benefits to our clients.

Growing up in a small town, it’s a given that people simply know who you are. My parents moved to Elk City in 1974. And purchased the Borden’s Milk Route. My parents struggled through the bust of the 80’s while somehow never letting my brother and I know times were tough. I graduated Elk City High School in 1994 and began a major in music at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. In 1996 I met a good friend who had been a barber in New Mexico. After just a few conversations I knew owning a barber shop was the career for me and attended West Texas Barber College in the fall of 1997. In 1998 I opened Scott’s Barber Shop and although I knew I loved the people and attitude of western Oklahoma, this is when I realized I was in my element. I married Melissa in June of 1999 and we officially put down our roots. By 2007 a problem with my hands and feet made it apparent that cutting hair would no longer be an option. I joined my parents and my brother in the Auto Bath family business and got so much more free time to be a father to Sam and a family man. I quickly realized I missed my interaction with the public, and while I loved investments, I never knew that was an option for me.

In January of 2018 I discovered I could take my series 65 and become an investment advisor. I studied like mad and in June of 18’ passed my exam on the first try. Since then, I have discovered that to truly care for my clients I would need more licensing. I passed my 6, 7, and 63 all on the first attempt and am now working towards my ChFC. I have a passion for God, people, music, and finance. I strive not only to help clients reach their financial goals, but also to understand the tools and habits necessary to do just that.

In my free time I enjoy leading worship at the United Methodist Church which I have done since 1998. I loved coaching my son’s soccer, but now am coaching from the stands. I love all things sports, spending time with my family, and cooking with my wife. My favorite scripture is Luke 7:35.
